Darmont GivesBack, in collaboration with a passionate team of volunteers and community stakeholders, is proud to announce the return of the Afro-CariBrant Festival, now entering its 3rd year as the flagship Afro-Caribbean cultural event in the County of Brant and the City of Brantford. Expanding into a two-day celebration for the first time, the 2025 edition will take place on Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Paris Lions Park, Paris, Ontario.

Themed “Our Roots. Our Rhythm. Our Future.”, the festival continues its mission to celebrate the rich and diverse heritage of the Afro-Caribbean diaspora while fostering community connection, cross-cultural understanding, and pride in shared traditions.

Under the visionary leadership of Tobi Adedayo, CEO of Darmont GivesBack, the Afro-CariBrant Festival has become a growing cultural pillar within the region. What began in 2023 with over 3,000 attendees has blossomed into a highly anticipated annual tradition that welcomed over 4,000 guests in 2024 and is expected to exceed 7,500 attendees in 2025.

“This year, we are taking a bold step forward,” said Tobi Adedayo. “The festival has grown into a space of belonging, joy, and cultural pride. With a full weekend of programming, we’re creating deeper opportunities for families, youth, artists, and community members to come together and celebrate what makes us unique and what connects us all.”

The expanded 2-day festival will feature:

  • Live musical performances from acclaimed local and national Afro-Caribbean artists
  • Cultural dance and fashion showcases
  • Food and artisan markets with diverse Afro-Caribbean cuisine and handmade goods
  • Children’s fun zone and family-friendly experiences
  • Community storytelling, poetry, and wellness workshops

Darmont GivesBack and its team have designed this year’s festival to reflect its three core pillars: heritage, healing, and harmony, aiming to uplift the cultural landscape of Brant through celebration, education, and empowerment.
